As a registered nurse, he gained a comprehensive base of knowledge in nursing from psychiatry to home care and from med-surg to intensive care.  He also worked diligently into the management arena of many of the fore mentioned areas.  During this time he acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in the total picture of health care with the most important factor being the patient.  Seeing first hand how nursing shortages have a direct relationship to the care of the patients, there had to be solutions to this epidemic problem in order to ensure the utmost in patient care and safety.
